El Meson, excellent!! House wines are very good. Cuban dishes, excellent ropa, parrilla, shrimp, snapper(pargo veracruz off the menu)and very good Mexican food...the tostadas are nice and dry. A village institution.

Can't go wrong with Patu's! Just a little hole-in-the-wall kind of place with an always fresh & delicious Thai buffet. I think they have a menu -although I have never ordered from it - the buffet is just too good to pass up!

I come in from out of town for Shiva's buffet...so yummy!!!

I feel guilty always going to Patu when there are so many other Thai places in the Village to choose from. Patu's variety, taste, and price can't be beat!

Its been a while since I lived in the village but Patus was my favourite,just a small little place but excellent food and great value.

Kubo's is absolutely some of the best Suhi in Houston! The service is always wonderful.

Croissant & Brioche: I drive quite a distance to come here. Food is good. Owner and sales clerks unfriendly. Some of the very simple pastries (puff pastry with apple slices) way overpriced at $3.46. Don't mind paying that for the intricate French pastries, but not the puff pastry fare. Am liking it less and less here; won't come again.

Patu Thai is wonderful. I go to the lunch buffet regularly and order their hot Jasmine tea. Authentic, great variety, delicious!!

Give Kubo's a miss unless you like sticky, grime-smeared tables, the eye-watering stench that wafts in from the bathrooms and better-than-you waitresses with stopwatches.

CROISSANT BRIOCHE IS VERY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT THEY SERVE I AGREE AND THE SPLIT PEA SOUP WITH HAM.!!!!!! PLEASE

I miss Zimmerman's HotDogs!! I haven't had a good hot dog since they shut down!
