The 2 best Village pubs aren't even on this list. Must check out Hans Bier Haus @ 2523 Quenby for over 60 varieties of bottled and 70 draught beers, plus games and sports and live music. Definately animal friendly - even to large, hairy Golden retrievers like me.
My mom also thinks The Big Easy Social Club @ 5731 Kirby Dr. is the best live Blues and Zydeco venue in town (including the House of Blues) and its a much better value. She has never taken me there, says its too crowded or late in the day, so you'd have to call about bringing 4 legged animals.

The Bronx bar sucks! It's small, overly crowded, and over priced. The bouncers are stupid and ignorant.

Two thumbs and toes up for Brian O'Neils and Baker St.

Man's Best Friend is always welcome on the patio at Brian O'Neill's. Please keep them close as not to disturb other guests and after 10pm it is often too crowded for our four legged friends so keep them at home if you intend to 'party'
